Keep the email archive within the business
MailFundus archives messages from Apple Mail or directly from a mail server via IMAP. The archive resides on a Mac or NAS. No account with the developer is required, and archiving does not require the developer’s cloud. One archive Mac writes the data; other Macs can use a read-only copy.
Schedule archives and detect changes
Pro runs archiving tasks on a schedule. Chained SHA-256 checksums make subsequent changes detectable during verification. A gap report compares the source with the archive. Automatic archiving does not delete messages from the source.
Prepare records for an audit
Retention periods can be set per account or mailbox. Auditor access limits the view to a selected period and permits reading only. Messages marked as private remain excluded. The app creates a procedure document as a PDF from its settings; the business adds its organisational information.
Keep the legal context clear
MailFundus Pro supports email archiving in accordance with Germany’s GoBD requirements when configured and used correctly. The business remains responsible for its setup, use and organisational measures. The app does not replace legal or tax advice.
